In this episode, Iviana interviews Joelle Casteix, a survivor of child sexual abuse turned advocate, author, and keynote speaker on subjects such as child sexual abuse prevention, survivor support, resiliency, and social media safety. Joelle shares her personal story of abuse and discusses how the trauma affected her relationships and mental and spiritual health. She also shares advice for parents on how to protect their kids and guidance for survivors dealing with their traumatic experiences. As the conversation advances, both exchange views on how society contributes to the issue by sexualizing children and suggest tools to challenge this normalization process.
