I was looking through my poetry for the next card or poetry print for @simplyforasmile and came across this one.
Sometimes I write poetry from inspiration, or to share my love, and other times I write it for my own motivation. In this case, the message is clear. Don’t play small!

He’s the perfect friend to us. I’ve been not

He’s the perfect friend to us.
I’ve been noticing a pattern of silence and joy. The days of complete silence are the ones that I have a lot of work to do.
Oftentimes, it’s the repetitive work, the mundane. The work that counts but doesn’t bring instant gratification.
Those days are followed by days of joy and satisfaction.
God is there all along, in the mundane, in the practical. Lean into His comfort.
